Melbourne St Patrick's Day Festival 2019
On March 17, St Kilda will play host to its very own Irish St Patrick's Day Festival. From 10 am -1 pm families are welcome to join in the festivities until 2:00 when the festival transforms into an over 18s event.
The day-long festival will include traditional Irish music and dancing you can shamrock out to. The event will also play host to Irish merchandise stalls and food trucks to tickle your taste buds.
While your sampling a glass of Guinness beer, don't miss some of the key festival events including a potato and spoon race and acrobatic Leprechauns putting on a live show.

On March 18, Sydney's Entertainment Quarter in Moore Park will become The Green Quarter! Major event highlights will include the emerald isle parade and a spud and spoon race.
As marching bands and Irish dancers pass you by, treat yourself to a few Irish beverages and delicious soda bread. There will be loads of activities to keep the kids busy too with face painting, Irish dance lessons, and sack races.

The St Patrick's Day Parade
Now celebrating its 30th consecutive year, the St Patrick's Day Parade is the hallmark event of Irish celebrations that take place on the weekend. The event sees the streets of Brisbane engulfed by a sea of green as festive floats and marching bands make their way through the CBD.
The parade starts and ends at the Alice street end of the City Botanic Gardens. Spectators can also enjoy live music and food stalls from as early as 8:00 am. There are loads of Irish pubs located throughout the city if you're game enough to try a pint of Guinness beer.
