Check out some of the best Melbourne Halloween events for a spooky night of fun!
Its official: Halloween is now a hugely popular occasion in Australia. And its easy to understand why: its an opportunity to dress in a spooky costume and have fun at quirky events... Who wouldnt want to be a part of that?!

One of the biggest cities celebrating Halloween with an Australian twist is Melbourne. This global city is packed with bars and fun Halloween activities, so theres more than enough to do when Halloween rolls around.
Here are some venues and Halloween parties which have won over big crowds over the years and theyre only getting bigger and better every year! So put these on your Halloween shortlist, and dont forget to check out the massive range of
spooky Halloween costumes from Blossom.
Luna Park, Luna Dark

Our list starts with one of Melbournes most iconic venues, Luna Park. Given that you enter the park through a giant clowns mouth, its no wonder that Luna Park makes a great Halloween venue.
So whats in store if you venture into Luna Park on the most haunted of days? The big Halloween event held at Luna Park is appropriately called Luna Dark, and instead of being abandoned like most creepy theme parks, this one will be alive (and undead) with monsters of all kinds including ghouls, vampires, zombies and witches!
Luna Dark has been held at Luna Park for a number of years, and each year is bigger and better than ever. Be sure to put this one on your shortlist if youre looking for family friendly Halloween fun!

Hedgend Maze, Fright Night

For a true Halloween experience off the main drag is the large venue at Hedgend Maze. This lush country-style venue sits on the edge of Melbourne and is home to a terrifying Halloween event, Fright Night.
For much of the year, Hedgend Maze is a unique and dynamic venue for a range of activities, from weddings to laser tag skirmish. But on Halloween, the hills are overrun with zombies looking for brains and human flesh! This realistic zombie-themed Halloween experience is surely not for the faint of heart.
Be sure to be on the lookout for the next

perfect zombie hunter costume in mind for those who seek this kind of adventure!

Melbourne Gaol, Night Tours

The Old Melbourne Gaol, situated in the heart of Melbournes centre, is perhaps one of the most haunted and terrifying Melbourne venues to visit on Halloween. Thanks to its dark history, where hardened and infamous criminals like Ned Kelly and Squizzy Taylor were locked up or hanged, the gaol is now home to angry ghosts and poltergeists.
The gaol conducts ghost tours where you can be scared silly and also learn a thing or two about Melbournes most ominous building that makes it a perfect Halloween event in our opinion!
Of course, tours are available all year round, but theres something particularly spooky about a Halloween tour. Maybe its the opportunity for attendees to dress up in Halloween costumes? We would say so!

Spooktober, The Asylum

Beware this is one Halloween experience thats only for true lovers of horror (and those above the age of 18)! The Asylum is a concept by boutique Halloween event planners Spooktober, and takes over the Ormond Town Hall to recreate a scare-filled insane asylum.
You and your friends will be ushered through the haunted Halloween venue as you witness the untold horrors of The Asylum, including the vengeful spirit of Elizabeth Donaldson. Once the tour is complete, you can head over to the Village to recuperate with some Halloween inspired beverages!
We have a few costumes in mind for this event including this
zombie nurse costume, or this
Biohazard Lab Surgeon costume. Remember to check-in with Spooktober in October for an Halloween event youll never forget...
